FAMILY AREA POLICIES

Please note there are two Family Areas; Families with very young children (0-4) will be directed to the main floor and 5-10 years will be directed to the second floor. However, they can choose either floor if they have children of different ages. Your cooperation would be much appreciated.
  • All children in the Family Area must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (18+).
  • The Family Area is used entirely at your own risk and RSSB-C accepts no liability for any actions, omissions, or injury to anyone while using the Family Area.
  • Children under 10 years of age must go to the Family Area accompanied by one parent or guardian (18+).
  • Children aged 10-15 are encouraged to go to the Pavilion accompanied by one parent or guardian (18+).
  • 16-17 year old must attend Satsang.
  • One parent or guardian (18+) can care for a maximum of 4 children. Note: Families are encouraged to collaborate with friends and relatives beforehand when they have children of different ages.
  • During Satsang, for safety purposes, all children should be either in the Family Area or in Satsang as per the age limit policies.
  • It is recommended that one parent or guardian (18+) remain with the children in the Family Area and the other parent or guardian (18+) attends Satsang.
  • Once a parent or guardian has entered the Family Area, they will not be allowed to leave until after the Satsang program is over.
  • The Family Area opens at 6:00 am and will close 30 minutes after Satsang.
  • Children must not be left in the Family Areas without a parent or guardian. Please see Family Areas Conditions of Use below.
  • Nursing Areas and Diaper Change Stations will be available in both Family Areas.
  • A family/unisex washroom is available on both floors.
  • Weather in Garafraxa is unpredictable. Please check the weather report each day, dress appropriately, and bring hats and sunscreen. It is always wise to have a light rain jacket on hand. There may be outdoor seating or seating in tents so please dress for the weather.
  • No food or snacks will be available. Please bring a small lacto-vegetarian and nut-free snack for your children. Water is provided.
  • Headphones are provided, however do not close your eyes, your attention must remain on your children at all times.
  • Strollers must be left outside in the designated Stroller Parking Area. Please follow sevadar instructions.

  • Groups of young people are not permitted to congregate or walk around the Science of the Soul Study Centre during satsang.

Family Area Conditions of Use

  • The Family Areas are for parents or guardian (18+) to look after their children themselves at all times (e.g., parking lot, washrooms, outside property). This is their sole responsibility.
  • A Sevadar's responsibility is only to provide activities for the children.
  • Each person who brings a child to the Family Areas is responsible for the child they accompany. Parents or guardian (18+) must ensure that their children are well-behaved and do not indulge in any unruly or violent activities.
  • Science of the Soul accepts no liability for lost or separated children.
  • No child may leave the Family Areas unless accompanied by the parent or guardian (18+) responsible for that child
  • No parent or guardian (18+) who brings a child to the Family Area may leave the area without taking the child.
  • Electronics: mobile phones, smart watches, fitness trackers, pagers, cameras, binoculars, laser pointers, MP3 players including iPods, audio video recorders, electronic games or any other electronic items are not permitted in the Family Area or in the Satsang Pavilion.
  • Other members of the family attending Satsang in the Pavilion must arrange with their family members beforehand to meet outside the Family Area at the designated meeting point.
